Engaging with Microfluidics Industry workshop

Dr Mark Tarn (Academic fellow, University of Leeds), supported by Melanie Jimenez from Strathclyde, led a workshop on Engaging with Microfluidics Industry at the satellite event to the 3rd UK Microfluidics Conference in Manchester.

Held on 19th June 2026, this workshop focused on ways researchers can connect with the UK microfluidics industry, providing an ideal setting for academics, policymakers, and industry representatives to meet in person, build relationships, and receive practical advice on effective engagement and collaboration.

As part of the programme, Associate Professor Christabel Tan delivered a tech talk showcasing the work of the Biodetection Technologies Hub, illustrating how microfluidic and biodetection platforms can move from laboratory innovation towards real-world applications.
