The 3rd UK Microfluidics Conference

The Biodetection Technologies Hub attended and presented at the 3rd UK Microfluidics Conference held on 19th June 2026. This conference was dedicated to exploring the latest advances and real-world applications of microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip technology.

Oral presentation from the Hub include:
Dr Mark Tarn (Academic Fellow, University of Leeds) - "On-chip analysis of atmospheric ice-nucleating particles in the Southern Ocean".

Hub posters from:
Dr Nikolay Dimov (Associate Professor, University of Hertfordshire) - "Principal component analysis and classification of urine samples metadata from a mesofluidic tangential flow filtration device towards liquid biopsy"
Dr Srinivasu Puttaswamy (Research Fellow, University of Hertfordshire) - "Dielectrophoretic Differentiation of Healthy and Diabetic Blood Using a Microfluidic Platform".
Dongting Xu (PhD student, University of Leeds) - “A digital microfluidic platform for automated droplet freezing analysis of ice-nucleating particles”.
