Hub and Industry Partners Day 2025
We’ve just completed our inaugural Biodetection Technologies Hub and Industry Partner annual conference. Fifty-four Hub members from our four Universities (Cranfield, Hertfordshire, Leeds, and Manchester), as well as twenty industry/government sponsors attended. We ran a series of workshops over the two days. On Day One (Hub only), we started with a management and strategy workshop (two streams), and in the afternoon, ran a workshop focused on skills, research interests, and research challenges, along with group workshops on enhancing our interactions with each other and increasing our outputs. In Day Two, we had our invited industry partners join us and had guest speakers with air quality scientists from the Environment Agency, Health and Safety Executive, UK Health Safety Agency, and the Defence, Science and Technology Laboratories, and Smith Detection presenting their organisation’s challenges in the biological measurement of aerosols. We wrapped up with a tour of the University of Hertfordshire’s Biodetection Technology Hub laboratories in our (quite) new SPECTRA Building.
An, if you’d like to work with us, and join as industry partner, please reach out to me here, or find my contact details on our website above.
